Recurring Programs


Stories and Crafts (Ages 0 - 6)
Join Miss Kat Monday morning for stories followed by a craft or activity. Each week will have a fun theme.
Mondays at 10:30 AM beginning March 7th.

Movie Monday (Ages 13 - 17)
Looking for something fun to do after school? Stop by the library to enjoy
a teen movie. 
Bi-weekly Mondays at 4:00 PM beginning March 7th.

Maker Monday (Ages 11 - 15)
Pop by the library after school to make a fun STEAM activity. Each week will offer different science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics focused projects that test your mind and creativity. 
Bi-weekly Mondays from 3:30 - 5:00 PM beginning March 14th.


Tech Tuesdays at Two (Ages 18+)
If you have simple device, computer, or eResource questions, register for one-on-one help.
Every Tuesday beginning March 1st at 2:00 PM.

Library LEGO (Ages 4 - 99)
Join us for LEGO building and kit play. Get creative with hands-on activities like kinetic sand, magnetic tiles, and board games.
Tuesdays from 3:30 - 5:00 PM beginning March 1st.

Chess Club (All ages)
Are you a lover of chess or looking to learn how to play? Stop by the library to play or learn the game from a chess enthusiast.
Tuesdays from 4:30 - 6:30 PM beginning March 1st.


Creative Crafting (Ages 6 - 11)
Pop in after school to get creative with perler beads, rainbow loom, and others!
Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:00 PM beginning March 2nd.

After School Games (Ages 11 - 17)
Visit the library after school to play a variety of video games or board games. 
Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 PM beginning March 2nd.

Stitchin' in the Stacks (Ages 16+)
Bring your knitting, crocheting, or yarn projects to the library to work on and visit with other fellow crafters. For more inspiration you can also check out the library's project resources or kits.
Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:30 PM beginning March 2nd.


Cookies and Cuddles (Ages 2 - 10)
Put on your pj’s, get cozy, enjoy stories, and take home a tasty treat! Keep an eye out for special guest story tellers.
Thursdays at 6:00 PM beginning March 3rd.

Adult Book Club (Ages 18+)
Are you a book lover looking to deep-dive and chat with other book lovers about new titles and genres? Register for the Wetaskiwin Public Library Book Club once a month, to discuss that month’s current read. For more book discussion you can join the Wetaskiwin Public Library Book Club Facebook page to leave and read additional book reviews. Meetings will be in-person. 
Once a month. Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:00 PM, March 24th, April 28th, May 26th.

Kids Saturday Morning Cartoons 
Start your Saturday off with some cartoons at the library.

Once a Month Fun

Spring is Right Around the Corner (All ages)
Get ready for the first day of spring with some fun crafts and DIY décor.
Saturday, March 19th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Bunny always leaves goodies at the library. Come with your Easter basket and collect chocolate treats, followed by an Easter movie with popcorn.
Saturday, April 9th at 10:00 AM.

Mother's Day Activities
Join us for a variety of Mother's day activities that will be fun for the whole family.
Saturday, May 7th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. 

Adult Craft 
Looking for something to do on the weekend? Register for a morning of crafting at the library. Follow our social media to see which projects we will be doing. 
Once a month Saturdays on March 12th from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, April 9th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, and May 21st from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM . 

Teen Crafternoon (Ages 11 - 16) 
Looking for something to do on your day off from school? Drop-In for an afternoon of creativity and crafting at the library. Follow our social media to see which projects we will be doing. 
Once a month from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Fridays March 18th, April 29th, and May 20th.
